The  safe use of power tools is important to prevent injuries to workers. All workers must be trained in the safe use, maintenance and storage of power tools. All power tools are potentially dangerous if poorly maintained or used incorrectly or carelessly and can cause serious injury or even death.

Injuries from hand held power tools can be due to:
