Copying Induction Steps to New Inductions

Copying Induction Steps to New Inductions

In order to save time, Online Induction allows for the copying of content within existing induction steps into other inductions. Content that may be copied to another induction include online slides and checklists. To copy content, please follow the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Recreate the step in your new induction
This includes creating a step with a name exactly the same as the step you are copying. The new step must also use the same content type (e.g. you cannot copy a check list into a step using online slides, even if the name is the same).

Step 2: Copy existing content
Navigate back to the content you wish to copy. Using the drop down illustrated below, select the induction you would like to copy the content to.

Please remember to recreate the step in the location where you wish to copy it before navigating to the existing step and copying it.

  • Create the induction types first
  • Enter in the steps you want per induction type
  • Upload or create content per step
  • Create notifications
  • Link to your portal from your website
  • Tell your users to register
